Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Quality Assurance Audit Supervisor will support activities that build compliance and consistency in programs across the VF manufacturing network. This involves leading and conducting audits to ensure compliance within the plant and adherence to Corporate Quality Policies. Standardize SOP to ensure Corporate Policies are properly translated at the plant level. Work closely with Quality Assurance Manager and Corporate QA team to support effectiveness, consistency and continuous improvement of Quality and Food Safety programs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for auditing the facility to ensure compliance to both Corporate Quality Management System policies and procedures, and the plant specific programs including SOPs and OPLs that support the food safety program and regulatory agencies’ standards.
- Schedule, prepare, and lead audits, including developing cross functional teams, preparing and issuing non-conformance reports and monitoring activities for RCA and CAPA.
- Where applicable, ensure that all corporate quality measures in the plant are monitored (by maintaining the plant’s QMS systems and by conducting regular plant audits to promote a focus on excellence in quality).
- Continuously drive initiatives of improvements in Food Safety programs.
- Where applicable, in collaboration with customer service, sales and production, respond to customer and supplier non-conformances.
- Evaluate and follow up on corrective actions resulting from audits, including issuance and maintenance of corrective actions.
- Conduct monthly GMP audits.
- Assist with maintaining all company and facility policies, procedures, and programs supporting food safety and quality systems. This includes managing special focus for key customer specification requirements with compliance to applicable laws and regulations. This includes all second party audits and third-party audits to confirm compliance to all food safety and quality systems.
- Responsible for Food Safety, by following & assuring compliance and implementation of all company policies including Safety & HR policies, procedures, and all applicable food regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education i.e. diploma or degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline
- Three (3) to five (5) years of food safety auditing or manufacturing plant experience including leadership position
- Auditing, RCA and CAPA experience required
- PCQI, SQF, or HACCP Certification preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing plant processes and quality management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective crisis management and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to lead and drive cross-functional teams
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to champion and lead a strong Food Safety culture

- Annual salary Base Range of $83,998.00 - $107,601.90*
- Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:
- Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
- Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
- Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
