Product Rework Coordinator

Position Summary:
Coordinates and monitors all rework inventory activities for totes and for finished goods. Coordinates Processing rework, re-labeling and re-boxing of product from beginning to end, in an effort to meet customer expectations and for loss control purposes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Rework, Rebox and Re-label process according to schedule. Coordinate communication and activities between Quality Assurance, Scheduling and Production to ensure rework is prepared for use, available and delivered on a daily basis, working to rework, totes, re-box or re-label an item in lieu of producing.
- Ensure Quality Hold areas are organized and managed to reduce damage to inventory and expedite the process of moving unshippable product into useable inventory. Manage drum & Tote file working to reduce this inventory.
- Work closely with the Branch Transfer Coordinator regarding the transferred items and items at 3PL's, with Inventory Control Techs regarding inventory variances and transfers between plant and 3PLs.
- Utilize the systems to obtain information as well as prepare reports, to ensure accurate information on all cases labeled/re-boxed. Monitor/verify transactions in AS400 on work completed on a daily basis for inventory control accuracy.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure accuracy of re-labeled and re-boxed items.
- Monitor and/or Initiate disposition of rework inventory that is expired and/or will not be used.
- Communicate via daily reports in Word, Excel, etc. to key Management personnel on accomplished goals and tasks.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must have excellent math and written English skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate, influence and coordinate activities between departments and different levels within the plant.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed instructions regarding repackaging of finished product.
- Excellent English and Math skills a must.
- Computer experience required. AS400, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Must have the ability to operate a forklift.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:
- Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
- Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
- Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
