Position Summary:
Sr. Project Coordinator will be working on executing plant initiatives and commercialization projects at the plant level, ensuring that all resources are in place in order to deliver on time and to the company's expectations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct accountability and responsibility for delivering plant initiatives and commercialization projects by ensuring resources are in place and all support departments are informed and delivering on their tasks.
- Primary support for the production team on PCS launches by being present on production floor and addressing any issues related to the project.
- Responsible for reporting back results to HQ project coordination team following the launch of a PCS.
- Track, monitor, and follow up on the progress of PCS projects that are currently open for the site.
- Host weekly meetings with key plant personnel.
- Follow up on component and SKU setups, batch sheet, green sheet, and red zone set ups in preparation for PCS launches.
- Utilizing production background and commercialization process knowledge, provide guidance and recommendations on the handling of complex projects to the HQ Project Coordination team as needed.
- Lead plant projects for FI and Fuel for Growth.
- Develop processes to improve the site's PCS execution to address pain points and areas of opportunity.
- Develop SOPs for PMO departmental processes.
- Be trained on Sales coordinator and master planner roles in order to back up positions. Lists of tasks to be provided by manager.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or similar degree) and 2+ years of project management experience
OR a project management certification, including 4+ years of project management experience required - 2-5 years of production experience in food manufacturing
Knowledge and Skills:
- 2+ years working experience in production and/or project management in the consumer products and food sectors
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in new and existing product launches, capital projects, and process and continuous improvement projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong client facing and teamwork skills

- Salary Base Range of $60,847-$76,668 for Employees Located in California*
- Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)
The “base salary range” provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates. Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography. Ventura Foods conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
Physical Demands:
Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.
Work Environment:
In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards. May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
