ERP Business Analyst, Principal

Position Summary:

The ERP Business Analyst, Principal position will be part of ERP Business Analyst Sr team that is responsible for defining, gathering, implementing business requirements and supporting business users. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of one or more of four Oracle Fusion functional areas: Order to Cash, Finance, Distribution & Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing with the ability to integrate to the other ERP or 3rd party software.  The position will be involved with business system analysis, workflow analysis, and problem solving. The position requires analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users. The nature of the work requires the individual to combine functional expertise and business management skills with an understanding of information technology.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with business teams and functional consultants to implement and enhance business requirements. The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to) leading and guiding the ERP Business Analyst team and functional consultants to analyze, design, document, test and deploy business requirements. He/she needs to have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with various developments and other support areas.
  • Maintain effective communication skills.
  • The individual is a liaison between functional and technical resources. He/She needs the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users effectively.    This person must also effectively communicate to executive management on critical projects.
  • The individual needs to provide guidance or assistance to ERP business Analyst team on analyzing information problems, day to day problem solving, design, UAT test scenarios and technical skills. 
  • The individual needs to create or maintain detailed design documentation for business processes, functional specification and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (or equivalent experience) and at least 8 years of ERP implementation experience with strengths in gathering business requirements, configuration, functional specification and testing
  • Significant experience with ERP systems roll-outs, business process re-engineering, conducting user training and providing on-going ERP systems support
  • Oracle Oracle Fusion experience required
  • Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Experience in CPG/Foodservice industry preferred 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the systems development life cycle, structured analysis and design techniques, user requirements definition, interviewing and data collection techniques PC-based packages used in development and/or support of production systems, conversion activities, testing methodologies, and implementation procedures
  • Strong working knowledge of supply chain, order to cash, purchase to pay, manufacturing and/or financial processes
  • The ability to communicate well and demonstrate business knowledge both verbally and in writing, strong time and work management skills and the ability to resolve critical project issues
  • Experience in project planning and control with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Motivational and dynamic leader, driven individual, strong work ethic
  • Thorough knowledge of and understanding business principles and business processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of the IT management team towards the common goals of the department
  • Ability to effectively communicate with business users

  • Salary Base Range of $127,062.00 - $166,769.40*

 

*The “base salary range” provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position in the specified markets.  Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography.  Ventura Foods conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day.   Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required.  Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements.  In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:

  • Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
  • Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
  • Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
