Position Summary:
Commercial finance manager is a critical partner in finance team. The role partners closely with the commercial team to drive revenue growth, profitability, and data-driven decision-making. This role will lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for commercial operations, acting as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. It is a hybrid role based out of our Corporate HQ office, located in Irvine, CA.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes across selling region and business channels
- Develop detailed financial models to support volume, pricing, margin, and profitability analysis.
- Provide actionable insights on key drivers such as commodity costs (e.g., oils, eggs), pricing, and product mix.
- Monitor financial performance vs. plan, forecast, and prior year; explain variances clearly to senior leadership.
Commercial Finance & Business Partnership:
- Act as a strategic finance partner to Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, product launches, and customer deals for profitability and ROI.
- Provide guidance on margin optimization, trade-offs between volume and profitability, and channel mix.
Margin & Cost Management:
- Analyze volume, variable margin, gross margin, and sales contribution performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Partner with Cost Accounting and Operations to understand conversion costs, freight, and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Review and maintained required levels of reserves for promotional activities and other expenses
Financial Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Oversee preparation of monthly financial results, including P&L, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards.
- Deliver executive-level reporting packages with clear narratives and recommendations.
- Track key metrics such as volume (lbs), VM$/LB, Sales Contribution, and operating income.
- Partner with the Accounting team during Month end Close
Education and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Finance
- Strong experience supporting Sales and/or Marketing organizations
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning tools (e.g., Adaptive) and BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus
- Experience working cross-functionally

- Salary Base Range of $122,297.00 - $159,871.95*
- Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)
