Position Summary:

To support the Wal-mart sales team with analysis of the business through the effective usage of Wal-mart systems and tools, as well as the tools of Ventura Foods. The individual will comment as to the results of the analysis in a timely manner to all parties needed, complete with recommended action. Individual will also assist sales team in other areas as needed, including non-Wal-mart business. Individual will also assist in the communication with the broker partners, and evaluating their support.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily analysis of business through the use of Walmart systems, including but not limited to Retail Link and CPFR, and the preparation and timely reporting of the results of the analysis to the sales team leadership.  Track and analyze retail price, POS quantity, and sales for unusual fluctuation and patterns.  Responsible for finding opportunities to improve existing business and to bring those the Director's attention.
  • Communicate and assist customer service, operations, R&D and Culinary and sales of business changes and modifications.
  • Track and analyze Walmart promotions and competition promotions of Ventura products.  Communicate successful promotional strategy and successful Ventura products to Walmart for add on opportunities.  Regularly communicate and assist in monitoring the actions of the retail brokers, analyzing their results and reporting opportunities accordingly.
  • Additional analysis needs by sales, marketing and operations as requested, utilizing potentially other tools than those provided by Walmart, Sam's Club & Target.
  • Assist in managing orders for annual Penut Oil Season.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.  
  • Sufficient training and familiarity with Walmart systems equaling or greater than 3 years time.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven history of strong analytical and computer skills as well as proficiency with Walmart systems and Excel a must.
