Sr PMO Manager- Business Transformation Lead

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, PMO plays a pivotal role in driving large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that enable growth, operational efficiency, and technology enablement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  This individual will ensure enterprise initiatives are effectively scoped, structured, governed, and delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable impact.  The role requires a mix of strategic thinking, program oversight, and hands-on execution with the ability to influence and drive alignment across a broad set of stakeholders. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Shape strategy & framework: Collaborate with business leads and sponsors to define objectives, governance, and the operating model. Conduct Assessments: Lead efforts to understand current state across processes, systems, org design, and performance. Scope & Structure the Program: Break down the vision into logical workstreams, initiatives, and milestones. Develop the Roadmap: Facilitate cross-functional alignment, risk identification, and prioritization to build an achievable roadmap. Oversee execution: Ensure continuity of vision, cross-functional integration, track program outcomes and delivery of business value, manage governance, risk mitigation, and course correction. 
  • Project Execution: Drive end-to-end execution of transformation initiatives, ensuring cross-functional integration and continuity of vision. Monitor project health, proactively manage risks and issues, and escalate concerns when needed. Ensure adherence to governance processes, cadence of stakeholder reviews, and transparency of reporting. Track outcomes and key performance indicators to ensure delivery of business value and return on investment.
  • Enable PMO Excellence: Strengthen the enterprise project management capability by providing mentorship, coaching, tools, training, and practical resources to individuals and teams leading Tier 3 (Functional) and Tier 4 (Departmental) initiatives. Promote consistency in project practices and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Change Management: Ensure development of change management and training plans and ensure successful execution of tactics that drive adoption and engagement.
    • Resource & Capacity Planning: Collaborate with functional leaders and Enterprise Portfolio Manager to assess resource allocation, resolve constraints, and balance workloads.
    • Tools & Reporting: Utilize project portfolio management tools to track progress, produce dashboards, and provide actionable insights to executives.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices, lessons learned, and process improvements for enterprise project delivery.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in enterprise program/project management, strategic planning/M&A preferably in a manufacturing or CPG environment.
  • Proven experience in driving business and digital transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, HRS, PLM, SPM initiatives preferred.
