Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to support strategic Ventura Foods customers by providing guiding insights and category management expertise by leveraging available data, including customer portals, third party data syndication and internal Ventura Foods systems. This information is used to partner with the Ventura Foods sales organization and strategic customers to review performance metrics and identify business development opportunities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide insight guidance and recommendation for strategic internal and external customers to maximize Ventura Foods' volume and further deepen our relationships with key customers.Management of multiple customer datasets, IRI & NPD syndicated industry data, and Ventura shipment data.
  • Working with data solution partners on linkage of multiple data sources for development of total portfolio scorecards and business performance metrics.
  • Oversee creation & maintenance of data tables and ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain controls for data security and ensure usage practices meet data usage policies.
  • Implementation and automation of performance scorecards for Ventura Foods & broker network.
  • Lead technical resource for insights & selling teams utilizing databases, BI tools, and reporting.
Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Economics, or Statistics
  • MBA or MA preferred
  • 5+ years CPG &/or Foodservice experience analyzing data and building reporting templates
  • 5+ years experience in data analyst role developing data visualization with BI tools
  • Experience utilizing several data mining & BI tools linked to multiple data sets from distinct sources
  • Ability to communicate complicated technical & data management processes to non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expert in utilizing & analyzing multiple data sources
  • Excel & business intelligence tool expertise (ex. Oracle BI, 1010data, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Qlikview)
  • BI tool expertise to include linking of data, visualization, ad-hoc reporting, and dashboard development
  • Functional/Technical Skills (database management, analytics, scorecarding, metrics)
  • Time management/Priority setting
  • Strong communication and relationship development with internal/external stakeholders
  • Dealing with Ambiguity
