Position Summary:
The Plant Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of a wide variety of Learning & Development, process, programs, and systems. This role coordinates, organizes, schedules, delivers training content, and flawlessly executes Learning & Development events with professionalism, enthusiasm, energy, and precision. Responsible for functioning System Admin for various Learning & Development systems by engaging in eLearning and other electronic tools. This role works cross functional with the HR Team to coordinate and facilitate all aspects of New Hire Training. The Training Coordinator will collaborate with site leadership and members of the broader Learning & Development team as needed on Enterprise – Level projects and rollouts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, Organizes, Schedules, and flawlessly executes Learning & Development events with professionalism, enthusiasm, energy, and precision.
- Accurately report on a variety of Learning & Development systems and processes (Core Compliance Program, Vector Convergence, POKA, Redzone, Alchemy, and etc.).
- Work cross-functionally with HR Team to coordinate New Hire Training. Facilitate training programs such as Temporary Employee Orientation, Full-Time Employee Orientation, and site training programs with energy, enthusiasm, and engagement on an as-needed basis. These programs will be delivered through a variety of written, verbal, hands-on classroom and electronic virtual methods.
- Manages employee Training Records (sign-in sheets, Training Matrix updates, observation forms, etc.) including scanning and storing forms digitally.
- Function as the System Administrator for our Core Compliance Program (Alchemy), web-based Project Management software (Asana), Microsoft Teams, and Training Room Calendar (Outlook).
- Manage and maintain our on-site Learning Environment (Classroom, Office, A/V equipment), to include: sanitizing surfaces regularly, setting up for classes/meetings and ensuring that all required materials are available, managing 20+ computers for eLearners, general organization/cleanliness.
- Partners with HR Team to support and coordinate off-site training events for employees, and supports external employee training held in Birmingham as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or some college experience required.
- Demonstrated capability of technical proficiency (Microsoft Suite, Windows operating system, etc.), project coordination, and great communication (written and verbal) skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in a rapidly-changing environment.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including plant Supervisors and Managers.

Physical Demands:
Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.
Work Environment:
In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards. May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
