Position Summary:
To safely transfer quality product at a high rate of speed from the plants mixing and distribution systems, to the customer perferred packaging
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Start up, shutdown, operate and monitor Votator process and associated equipment to ensure the production of a quality product meeting all requirements outlined by Ventura Foods, LLC. This position will require learning and operation of mulitple votation systems.
Make and document all necessary approved adjustments, while keeping record of all batches or cases run. Maintain and control process within the established parameters to ensure a quality product.
Complete all testing of the products produdced and adjust process using established operating procedures. Make and document all necessary adjustments, while keeping record of batches made.
Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by Ventura Foods, LLC including but not limited to General Manaufacturing Procedures, Safety, Job Specific PPE and Housekeeping.
Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends and overtime as needed.
Work on other lines when necessary or needed on any position as assigned by the Supervisor and demonstreate a willingness to learn and perform assigned duties.
Learn sanitation responsibilities pertaining to cleaning on the line when votation is complete and possible. Be able to perform other tasks to support sanitation when schedule permits.
Must have a sense of urgency and expedience to ensure time management is handled well and that the votation process does not delay start times for production lines in the morning.
Perform other tasks and duties as neede or assigned by the Supervisor.
Ensure line is producing safe quality products while meeting throughput targets. Be able to show and explain when and why targets are missed.
Education and Experience:
chool Diploma or GED. Experienced as a Machine Operator
Knowledge and Skills:
Mechanical aptitude, good judgement, hand and eye coordination, maual dexterity, strength and stamina, good vision, ability to work with and lead others, some electrical knowledge, effective communicator, both written and verbal. Must be able to identify and report any food safety and food security concerns.
