Position Summary:
The maintenance facilities tech performs a range of maintenance duties supporting the facility infrastrucure, as a member of the maintenance department. Their duties include fixing plumbing systems, providing repair guidance, cleaning and repairing and maintaining common and office spaces, grounds keeping, and performing repair assessments.
Under the general direction of the Facilities supervisor, duties may involve systems monitoring; plumbing; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; basic repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
Shift Times: This is a 3rd shift position (hours may vary +/- based on production needs) and subject to weekend work:
Schedule Days: Monday - Friday
Time: 10:45pm - 7:15am
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on plant facilities and infrastructure systems; (roofs, flooring, ceilings, windows, concrete, gates, doors, basic electrical and mechanical repairs)
- Responsible for ensuring wastewater system is operating properly during third shift.
- Maintain working restroom and handwashing facilities throughout the Plant.
- Inspection of fire sprinkler systems and fire exits.
- Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Order materials, parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
- Fabricating, grinding, welding using power machine shop equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
- Demonstrated experience with plumbing and electrical systems
Knowledge and Skills:
The Facilities Tech must have a working knowledge of plant systems, processes and equipment in order to effectively ensure the plant critical infrastructure and systems operate as designed.

Physical Demands:
Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.
Work Environment:
In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards. May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
