Supervisor Customer Solution

Position Summary:

Motivates, Plans and coordinates activities for Teams of Customer Solution Coordinators.   Provides daily leadership to support a high performance work environment that meets both Supply Chain objectives and Customer needs. This Supervisor is a critical leader in the operation and success of the Customer Solution Teams.  The role is responsible for aligning Order Fulfillment processes to achieve service metrics with collaboration amongst numerous cross-functional teams.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mange the entire purchase order to invoice process including partnering with cross-functional teams that impact the speed and flow including Pricing Administration, Accounting, Distribution, Transportation and Supply Planning.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to Customer Solution Teams for performance improvement and development.  Motivates and mentors team members to maintain a positive and productive work environmnet and creates goals to drive desired Supply Chain results.
  • Partner with IT and Operational Excellence Teams on the order management journey of enhancements and conversions to meet current and future business functional needs.   
  • Assumes difficult and specialized customer relation situations, involving upset and dissatisfied customers requiring sensitivity and sound judgement.  Handles internal and external escalations on an as needed basis.
  • Creates/Modifies departmental procedures and processes to support efficiency gains and continuous improvement.  Proactively identify problems, issues, opportunities that will allow Ventura to enhance profitability, and/or overall service levels. Provide direction, solutions, and/or alternatives to assure efficient implementation and execution against identified problems, issues or opportunities.
  • Disseminate timely communication on product supply and service information to Customer Solution Coordinators.  Active Leadership to determine execution steps with sensitive Quality concerns and Supply Chain disruptions.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and training new employees.  Building a team framework that culitvates learning, growth and retention.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4 - 5 years customer service related experience.
  • Foodservice environment experience helpful.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent problem solving skills including crisis management and communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, ERP Software exposure (preferably JDE) and familiarity with AS400 Mainframe.
  • Strong Organizational skills to support work within deadline constraints.
  • Tact and diplomacy seen through effective professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
