Ventura Foods, a global manufacturer of salad dressings, sauces, dips and oils, located in Chambersburg is seeking various different Production Associates on various shifts, we have 8 and 12 hour shifts available (department & position pending), day and night shifts and generous overtime!

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Work at various positions within the plant, report any issue found with equipment, materials, and/or finished products
Move product and/or raw materials and ingredients to appropriate areas
Responsible for the quality, sanitation, and line performance of each line as well as following safety guidelines
Perform all duties required to produce a good quality product included, but not limited to, quality checks, equipment set-up, review batch sheets, maintain operational parameters, and equipment maintenance and performance
Maintain good housekeeping and follow all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and report safety concerns
Report on and track productivity using computers, iPads, or other technology
All other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience:

Previous experience in a food manufacturing plant or equivalent preferred
Consistent and steady work history for the past 2 years preferred
Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
Some positions will need to have strong math skills
Team player and positive attitude

Knowledge and Skills:

Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to read and understand standard instructions and to work effectively with others
Self-starting, self-directing and exercises good judgment and decision making skills

Physical Demands:

Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.

Work Environment:

In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards. May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
