Supply Chain Analyst

Position Summary:

Provide analysis of supply chain performance data for the organization to identify operational efficencies. Analyze data, develop metrics and create management reports related to all supply chain-related functions. Share best practices. Lead optimization efforts in identifying, gathering, performing, and leading all actions to realize the opportunities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of operating, supply chain, financial and performance data, identifying improvement opportunities and strategic focus areas as a result of data analysis 
  • Lead the implementation of important initiatives through facilitation of meetings, follow-up documentation, and escalation of key risks and issues
  • Establish improvement and sustainment targets for metrics and facilitate exception-based discussions when measurements are out of acceptable range
  • Instill continuous improvement principles and techniques while evaluating opportunities within existing processes
  • Drive change with our database management practices and opportunities to automate reporting
  • Act as a liasion between in-house IT, Business Users and External Software Vendors; provide guidance/expertise pertaining SCP integration with ERP system/business applications.
  • Build business cases in support of improvement projects and identifying the resources required to successfully implement improvement projects

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or Marketing preferred
  • Green Belt Certified preferred
  • Masters in Supply Chain Management, Project management and Information and technology Management preferred.
  • PMP Certified a plus

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Statistical analysis, supply chain planning/forecasting skills using recognized planning or analytics software applications 
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent Power Point, MS Project, Visio, Access, Tableau and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated business intuition skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly through written and oral communications
  • Understands functional processes and can navigate systems to extract needed data
  • Deep understanding of principals of project management and team facilitation
  • Related work experience in a continuous improvement or project management role preferred
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization, influence leaders to change/adopt change, building trust and credibility quickly
  • Experience in a consulting environment preferred
