Regional Sales Manager II (Work from home)

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager II is responsible for achieving the sales objectives in assigned territories and accounts as designated by the company for the Ventura Foods Brands.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the activities of the sales agencies under contract to achieve the company's sales at wholesale retail objectives.
  • Make key account trade presentations that promote the company's brands.
  • Make routine retail store calls to insure that the company's objectives are being achieved at retail in regard to pricing, promotion and shelf position.
  • Coordinate budgets and sales plans and sales reports with sales agencies.
  • Actively manage trade spending at each account and for the region, including prompt and complete entry into the TPMS system
  • Monitor competitive activity in all assigned territories and report to National Sales Manager and CPG branded marketing.
  • Recommend new account penetration objectives including slotting expense, case sales short term and long term.  Supervise the timely execution if approved.
  • Represent the company at account specific, regional and national sales shows as directed.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in selling national brands at wholesale and retail. 
  • Minimum of 5 years sales agency management experience. 
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and motivate sales agencies to achieve company's sales objectives.
  • Must be self starter and willing to do the difficult retail work as well as the wholesale calls. 
  • Must be a team player and willing to pitch in when called upon. 
  • Must have working knowledge of syndicated industry data and apply effectively on sales calls. 
  • Must have the highest business and personal integrity.
