Digital Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for facilitating, implementing and managing marketing campaigns that promote Ventura Foods and its products and/or services across all digital channels. As the lead digital marketing expert, he or she plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic, acquiring leads/customers, building and optimizing eCommerce content and updating & education the organization on Digital Marketing fundamentals, trends and progress.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive demand by evaluating, proposing, planning and executing all digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising and help achieve awareness, engagement and lead generation objectives for integrated marketing campaigns
  • Design, build, monitor and maintain our POEM (Paid, Owned, and Earned Media) presence, including social media presence on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms
  • Work with Category Marketing team to develop and implement eCommerce content for Retailers (e.g. Walmart, etc.), Pure Players (e.g. Amazon, etc.), and Distributors (e.g. Sysco, etc.)
  • Continuously test, measure and optimize all digital marketing channels (including web, email, paid media, organic search, social and more) to acquire a qualified, engaged pipeline of leads for our sales team
  • Develop benchmarks for digital campaigns (ROI and KPIs), measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and provide recommendations
  • Manage all aspects of digital marketing operations, including digital agencies, budgets and a growing team of professional to build and optimize digital marketing as a critical channel for our company’s growth
  • Educate the Marketing team and the organization on Digital Marketing and build Digital Marketing and Social Media knowhow, processes and policies
  • Collaborate with and direct the media agency regarding paid digital campaigns consisting of search, display, mobile, social, video, and serve as liaison between the marketing team and media agency to ensure consistency of brand message and effectiveness

Education and Experience:

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing and advertising, ideally with some Business to Business ( B2B) experience
  • Excellent grasp of social media and website metrics and best practices and proven experience managing paid media budgets and channels, and leading and managing search emgine optimization (SEO)/ search engine marketing (SEM), marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience with website development
  • Experience driving lead acquisition for B2B and Business to Consumer (B2C), including content marketing
  • Experience in Salesforce or Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Experience in eCommerce content development
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Experience with optimization and A/B testing
  • Experience with tagging, tracking, and reporting in digital media

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Self-starter mindset and skillset
  • Knowledge of business and marketing fundamentals to turn data into insights and specific business implications and recommendations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with digital tools and resources including Google suite of products (Analytics, AdWords, Webmaster Tools, and Tag Manager), Facebook suite of products, LinkedIn, WordPress, SEO software and Social media listening tools
  • Web development knowledge and development skills (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Working knowledge of eCommerce platforms
  • Strong communication, collaboration and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
