Position Summary:
Responsible for the sale of Ventura Foods branded portfolio of products to existing and new accounts across three primary channels: Chain restaurants (Technomic 101+)/LLOs, C-stores and Independent distribution. Manage and grow the volume and variable margin within the specified territory and account list in coordination with corresponding broker representatives. Responsible for attaining sales objectives, including focus on all key initiatives set by the company.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and grow both existing and potential new accounts within specified territory, levering the use of key internal systems: Velocity (CRM) and Forge (pricing contract management).
- Provide strategic direction to broker partners to maximize sales efforts including: developing operating models for account interaction, targeting, new product launch support/execution, communication of pricing, and utilization of agency resources (culinary, test kitchen).
- Efficiently organize, manage, and facilitate internal resources including Culinary, R&D, QA, Marketing (Category, Customer, Digital), Customer Solutions, and Risk Management/Commodity team to deliver best in class, customized customer solutions.
- Effectively work with internal pricing teams (commodity and value added) to support new product pricing and contract renewals/Forge updates.
- Manages expenses including T&E budget, sample approval, and distributor marketing programs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred, with 5+ years combined manufacturer or Foodservice Sales experience.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
- Experience selling to chain restaurants in Mid-Atlantic through PA desired.
- Broker Foodservice Sales experience desirable.
- Experience selling to the Technomic 1500 highly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be a self motivated, team player with strong critical thinking, leadership, communication (both written and oral) and organizational skills
- Must be well versed in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and comfortable with the review and use of data and insights to guide decision making and customer strategy.
- Familiarity with use of CRM system a plus.

- Salary Base Range of $104,500 – $136,000 for Employees Located in California*
- Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)

The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates.
